Take Me Down is a life-affirming book that shows the reader that there is true love out there. A sweet, and at times sad, story about two people who have been torn apart by previous relationships, this romance will entertain and DEFINITELY make the reader hot! I made the mistake of reading it on my Kindle in the doctor's office. Let's just say that I turned my Kindle off and got a glass of cold water, lol. Author Lauren H. Kelley has created characters who are human, with all the pits and pratfalls that we make. Sebastian, the male protagonist, is a real jerk and Ashley, our female protagonist, is prickly. They fail again and again to make that connection, just like so many of us do daily. We allow our insecurities and past betrayals sharpen us to the point that we can see the good that is right in front of us. Hopefully, Take Me Down will teach some of its readers that we can let the hurt go and live again.
This is the 1 first look I've read from this author/series. I think I've found another new author to add to my list. This book has everything I'm looking for in a romance novel. Parts made me laugh, cry and relate to some of their pain I can't wait for the next installment of Ashley and Sebastian.
