Over the past 20 or so odd years I have read several dozen books on the topic of natural health and nutrition. So I wondered a bit at my sanity when I downloaded Aarti’s book (she had promoted it via one of the book-promotion e-mail lists). What else do I need to know? I asked myself.Well. How about that I need to relax and enjoy life instead of obsessing over every single dietary rule? Unlike every other book on nutrition and health that I’ve read, this one not only lacks a list of rules for being healthy, but actively discourages the reader from following them! The art of health, Aarti maintains, is to get and stay tuned in to your body, and to enjoy life along the way. I recommend this book to anyone who, like me, has had a load of rules crammed into their mind about health and longevity and as a result seen their overall stress increase. I believe you will find the author’s, who is a naturopathic doctor, wise words to be like an oasis in a desert. A balm to a health-religion wounded soul. [FILL IN YOUR OWN METAPHOR HERE. ;) ]
