It is Victorian Edinburgh, a young girl is transported to Edinburgh Mythical twin Edin-Alba. She is ill and transports a common Victorian disease to Edin-Alb. The population of Edin-Alba is half human and half the Fay of Scotlands Myths and Lore. This common disease has a devastating effect on the human population of Edin-Alba. A doctor attempts to find a cure and a Kings Constable attempts to contact men in authority in Edinburgh to close the doorway. They become aware of the criminal element of Edin-Alba and Edinburgh have become aware of each other. The Hand of Grierson, of Edin-Alba, and Carling O'Keeffe come together. They plot to assassinate both King Athon of Edin-Alba and Queen Victoria when they meet in Edinburgh. It is a story of the hunt for a cure for the Red Death and the clash of two worlds to be kept secret and apart.
