The Bowman Legacy is a novel of love, freedom and war. Lillian and her husband Louis move to Timbuctoo, a small all black town in Burlington County, New Jersey. The town was settled by free born and runaway blacks and Quakers. It isn't long before they discover that the town is a stop on the Underground Railroad. The Bowman Legacy chronicles the lives of people who bravely survived the atrocities of slavery and subsequently worked hard to help others to freedom. They are committed to the abolition of slavery and the young men eagerly join the army and bravely fight to end slavery forever. The Civil War will change all their lives.
