Enjoyed the story I liked how your not just getting it as it progresses but your getting it in a somewhat retrospective method. Allowing the author to share details impacting the main character later on. It allows for more depth of character.
The Chronicles of Benjamin Bright introduces us into the world of Feydom and takes us on an adventure where young teenaged Benjamin, a Darkling, discovers his true purpose and calling. What I love about this book, is the author sets up an entire fantasy based world so eloquently within a present day human world, where humans cohabitate with creatures, elves, and trolls. I was impressed with the author’s ability to blend fantasy based characters with horror genre creatures, without confusing his readers. Fantasy and horror are my two favorite genres, so to get the best of both worlds is truly magical. The author’s attention to detail is a delectable treat. Book One “Cursed Blood,” does not disappoint and I can see a long series in the making.
What I loved about a book is when events happen, and it is NEVER BORING! This book was never boring, and I loved it! Fantasy is my favorite genre, and it did take me time to read, but in the end, it was worth the time. I recommended this book to a few friends I know who was wanting new books to read during this pandemic. Benjamin is such an interesting character, and the whole story is focused on him! All he wanted to know was what his destiny was, and when he found out he had these powers then it developed all through the book! I loved this! Bravo to the author, and I hope the author writes another book about Benjamin Bright soon!
