Wow, a phenomenal story from a veteran. The military engagements are very well written and realistic (they are based on real-life moments). The detail and action sequences make it all very real. I highly recommend reading this, especially if you enjoy action.

This book will be great for anyone who enjoys combat stories. You can tell that the author is retired military personal by the realism with which he writes. The story is gritty but compelling, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an intense page-turner!​

Authors have incredible imaginations to develop a plot, but there’s nothing better than reading a fictional story from an author who’s lived the profession of the main character. The detail of Roger’s mindset will make your heart skip a beat at times as if you’re inside Roger’s thoughts. This is an amazing story of someone who served in the military just wanting quiet time with his family and yet war (in a sense) follows him.

This story is a gift in that we get an authentic realism in a character because it’s written by someone who can describe it no better. It becomes so visual. The suspense of this novel will keep you turning the pages. I empathized with Roger with deaths in his life and then highly rooted for him to kick some major butt as the story progressed! This is a great read.

The incredible cover caught my eye and being a fan of Jack Reacher, I was keen to jump on board with a new book series.

The Cold Storm is not only fast-paced and action-packed but contains all the elements of a great military thriller … realistic and blood-curdling combat scenes, protection of the defenseless and the, do whatever it takes, will to survive.

I’m looking forward to book two in the O’Neil Series.

All Roger wanted to do was to spend time with his family and give them the winter trip of a lifetime. Instead, an innocent trip to his grandfather’s cabin in Montana turned deadly. Reading the story reminded me of the movies: The Fugitive and U.S. Marshals; both guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat. This is one of the most action-packed stories I’ve ever read. I enjoyed the read from beginning to end.​
