The Girl No One Loved
S.C. Shannon, author
All she wanted was revenge—until she got it.
After a string of heartbreaks, Savannah abandons her old life for a fresh start—new name, new town; she’s an entirely new person. Swearing everything would be different this time, Savannah watches her drinking, seeks therapy, and works on herself. But when her dreams of a “perfect” new life don’t come to fruition, she started falling back into the old, destructive behaviors. As she begins to spiral, a mysterious book wrapped in brown paper arrives in her mailbox. Excited to have something to distract her from the disaster her existence has become, Savannah dives into the book. However, the story within its pages seems eerily familiar with a main character who thinks and feels just like she did and has exes just like hers. But when the protagonist in the book begins to murder their exes and Savannah’s disappear in real life, the lines between fiction and reality blur.
Night after night, Savannah is plagued by nightmares of her ex-lovers’ deaths and gruesome crime scenes. Desperate to prove the book is just a work of fiction, she hires a private investigator. But what they uncover is worse than what she’s read in the pages of the mysterious book. She and the PI are now looking for a homicidal author. Savannah wanted her exes to pay, but not with their lives.
In the end, Savannah must face her demons to protect her future before the past returns for its final chapter.
