This book is very entertaining and enlightening. It not only is a wonderful historical novel; it is an adventure, a love story, and a “hold your breath” kind of read. It is packed full of Revolutionary War details, along with many stories about the captives of the different Indian nations. Learning how the Indians raised their captives was interesting -- many captives did not want to return to the White Man’s world. Sometimes I had to read paragraphs over, to catch all the details of the research that the author wanted to pass on to the reader. Once you read this book, I’m sure you’ll want to read more about that time period.

I couldn't stop reading this historical piece of work, I felt like I was in the middle of the storyline as the authors did an excellent job writing the historical events of that time period, of course it helped to put in a love story with it, that never hurts. I have read other books on the Revolutionary War and this book is right on the mark. Those of you who like historical romance this is a must rea
