Duty, Honor, and Courage: words like these embody the meaning of this book. They make the protagonist strong enough to know when he is weak and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid. In this book, Colonel Jackson MacKenzie shows his talents, even in times of difficulty he remains inflexible to failure, and faces with pride and courage the challenges that life has put before him, after the events faced "In The Eye of the Storm" and in the later books of "The Jackson MacKenzie Chronicles" Series, JJ learns to resist in the "Storm". Amazing how the story goes on and manages to capture my interest once again. Events follow one another quickly and intensely, to find out who is behind this story, who has tried in every way, to eliminate Lieutenant Colonel MacKenzie, throwing mud on his name and on his Honor. In this Book, the awesome and upsetting, at times strong action, the power games, the dark intrigues of the CIA and corruption, the painful past that returns and strikes the protagonist through terrible memories and nightmares that cannot be erased from the mind and body, old friendships that seemed lost return, and the comradeship of yesteryear grows stronger than before. The protagonist's life is changing, through difficult choices, he will have to face something he was not prepared for, a final farewell to those who have been loyally close to him in the darkest moments....when the story seems to draw to a conclusion, a mysterious shadow appears on the horizon...What I appreciate about this "The Jackson MacKenzie Chronicles" series is that I can get overwhelmed by reading every page, chapter, every book. The Writer captures and values the fundamental points, the courage to face the system, corruption, family and friendship, PTSD, the camaraderie and brotherhood between soldiers without distinction of rank, true patriotism, and loyalty, the determination to achieve an objective, sacrifice, being a guide and an example for others, the Honor of deserving trust, stimulating the reader to reflect on the topics covered. Colonel Jackson MacKenzie represents one of the greatest examples of Patriotism, one of the Best Military characters, even ever read. The Author, Angel Giacomo is a certainty.
