"...this book is like a faithful companion, waiting patiently to whisk you away from a tedious and grey world. It'll appeal to all of those who want a good bit of escapism, some interesting bits of science, and a new look at Indie."
We are thrilled to report that one of our local L.A. authors, Darcy Fray, has taken the top prize in Young Adult Fiction for her book, The Unofficially Official Files of Dr. Gordon B. Gray.
The Indie Author Project worked in partnership with public libraries across California to hold the first annual California Author Project contest in 2018. Participating libraries, including The Los Angeles Public Library, solicited hundreds of submissions from our local author community in the genres of Adult and Young Adult fiction, looking for the top independently published e-books in the state. From those submissions, Ms. Fray was chosen.
If you are a local author interested in entering the 2019 content watch this space—we will announce the next submission period this spring. You can also submit your independently published ebook year round to our SELF-e platform to be featured in our collection and at participating libraries across California.
Congratulations, Darcy—we can’t wait to read your next book!
