The Peace and Love Train is a beautifully illustrated book, showing the readers the delicate emotions portrayed in each story. Its lyrical read entices even the youngest readers, as it is as fun to read as it is to look at! Each story shows a special child and tells their story and the hardships they encounter for being “different”.

What I loved most about this book, as each story is told, it allows the reader to feel the depth of emotion there, and then the resulting achievement of happiness when they accept who they are. The book is interactive as at the end of the stories there are questions to engage the young readers minds into self discovery of emotions of others and how they can handle situations if they are being bullied, or if they see their friends/family members with differences. It helps them to learn how to think for themselves before reacting.

Kids are truly special spirits and this helps to guide them to know that it truly is OK to be different, and how we can accept others who are different in their own special ways as well.

This book gives me hope for the future and for future generations. In a simple yet effective format the authors get their tolerance messages across without being preachy. Young children will love the colorful and playful illustrations and relate to each of the characters.The result is that all will see we are not so different after all; what we each want is simply love, peace, and acceptance for who we are.

Wonderful and inspiring book! I’m really happy I bought The Peace and Love Train book. It’s a charming story that appeals to our most inner and compassionate child. I think no matter the age we all can relate to the stories in the book, as we all went to school and we all made fun of someone, laughed at someone or maybe someone else made fun of us or laughed at us.

The book is easy to read, it has lots of beautifully done, whimsical illustrations that helps tell the story in a way that is pleasing to a child’s eye, and adults too. I recommend this book for all parents and teachers, who care about teaching their children about equality, empathy, love and compassion. 

I think the book is BEAUTIFUL!! Absolutely beautiful! I have read it, and had my husband and children read it. And every single one of us cried, at one point, while reading the book… oddly enough, at different times and for sometimes different reasons.It is a book that I would buy for my children or to have in my home for other children to read. And a book that I would recommend to anyone.

The illustrations were beautiful as well! You touched on a lot of different ‘personal differences’, and all of my kids were especially happy that it included the young boy who liked pink…as (my daughter’s) best friend is a transgender young man. We have all watched his/her struggle internally and externally in this world and it is sad to see how she allows stuff to affect her.

My heart still feels ‘light’ when I think of it!  So, I say Bravo to you!  

I had opportunity to read The Peace and Love Train during production with my children and was completely touched by the message. It is rare to find books that address the concept of bullying that are appropriate for any age.

This book discusses the importance of acceptance and kindness in a way that all of our children will be able to understand and implement.  Bullying is a serious social issue and teaching our kids that loving each other rather than bullying each other is our duty as parents.
