Join Mary and Tim as their adventure begins with a field trip to the Zoo! They see Elephants, Exotic Birds and Lions.  Follow as the children meet the Wizard Zitthoona who performs exotic music on his magic flute and ushers them into The Phantastic Zoo.  In The Phantastic Zoo, Mary and Tim hear the stories of fabulous beasts The Phoenix, The Mermaid and The Dragon. From them they learn secrets to living life and ways of dealing with the grief they experienced not long ago at the loss of their parents. Mary and Tim learn that ‘Music Magic is Everywhere’ and when they return to their Aunt Peggy’s house at the conclusion, they are filled with joy and hope. Dr. Christopher Kaufman, an author and illustrator, is also an accomplished composer of music for the classical concert stage and he provides, with the book, a full audio album filled with brilliant symphonic music, narration and sound design. The result is immersive, moving and unique.  The Phantastic Zoo is also a thrilling live show which Dr. Kaufman presents on his concert series, The Phantastic Theater - music and art for the young of all ages. In these events he combines live performance by musicians and voice actors with video, dance and giant puppets.
