I could not put it down! Incredible pacing and lots of twists and surprises throughout. I enjoyed reading an espionage/political thriller with a strong female protagonist who is able to rescue herself. I also loved how key details such as scents were used as clues for the reader to figure out certain characters’ identities (won’t spoil any more). I was only left wondering what traumatic event was referenced in Kate’s past. Either way, Kate’s transformation from unsure former investigative reporter to confident badass would make Ruby proud. Excited that the end leaves open some potential for a series!.
From the start to finish of this book, I was hooked. It reeled me in and left me on the edge of my seat until the end. It’s such an amazing read and I can’t wait for more books from this author..
