At the age of 74, I often look back over my life and stand in awe of the hand of God hovering, covering, leading and guiding me through the various stages and phases of my life. I have had the privilege of walking through “The ReCreated Woman”, a literary treatise. I use the term treatise intentionally in describing this book because it follows the Merriam-Webster definition – “a systematic exposition or argument in writing including a methodical discussion of the facts and principles involved and conclusions reached”.
As I walked through the chapters of “The ReCreated Woman”, I identified the critical points of my life as a woman, created in the image and after the likeness of my Father God. I encourage readers of all age levels to delve into this book with an expectation of clarity of who you are from the lips of our Heavenly Father God. The concluding chapter titled “Commitment Pledge” brings the reader to a place of accountability and responsibility leading to the initial creative intent of God for His woman!
In the ReCreated Woman, God's desire to deliver women from identities embraced apart from His Word is revealed. The author elaborates how postmodern culture and traditions have imposed false perceptions upon us. The author explains that restoration is possible by revisiting the original purposes written of times in the Garden of Eden. According to Jeremiah 1:5 and Jeremiah 29:11, the Bible states that He knew us all before He formed us in our mothers' wombs and that He has purposes and designs for each of us. God wants women to comprehend the depth of His love for them, which has been broadly obscured by cultural and traditional beliefs.
An entire chapter is devoted to the subject of submission to God and to our husbands. Herein lies the challenge: to renew our minds to see ourselves as God sees us, as opposed to identities we may have assumed as a result of our formative experiences. In the book, her personal journey of healing and discovering the blessing of submission—which God intended for a life filled with His liberty—is examined.
ReCreation may need us to go through difficulties as we work through the internal traumas and sorrows that we have experienced. Nevertheless, by putting our trust in Him, we are able to heal and transform into the women that He intended for us to be from our very beginnings. As you read The Recreated Woman, you will learn how God has changed the lives of women throughout the Bible and how He wants to do the same for you.
The ReCreated Woman is also a book for men. It allows them to see and understand from a woman's perspective. The chapter on submission reveals how men have abused submission because we did not understand it or what it is for. From my experience, the best way to understand a woman is to listen to the trusted advice of another woman.
