Matt Faustus has problems. He’s a broke, washed up heckle of a Paradimensional Investigator who lives hands to mouth, rarely gets a case anymore, and most importantly, has a Lord of Hell (yes, that Hell) bound straight to his soul. New Orleans has a problem. It has an interdimensional rift square in the heart of the city, that’s spewed Hell onto Earth, and inserted the most interesting and curious form of illegal alien the Country has ever known: demons. Matt will stumble, rumble, and grumble his way through the city as he’s hired to find a kidnapped child, all the while crossing paths with an ex-lover who just happens to be a succubus, an incompetent demonologist frightened of his own shadow, and an insidious Demon Prince with an agenda straight from the deepest pits of Hell. All of these factors will lead to a climatic showdown, in which Matt might find redemption for his damaged soul, or be cast into Hell because of it.
