The Sound of Light: The Age Of The Sonic Soldier
A WORD-SYMPHONY IN THREE MOVEMENTS COMPOSED FOR STRING THEORY ORCHESTRA: Here is a world where sound has physical power. Where music reigns supreme. Where the sky changes colors whenever it wants to. And the air is thick enough to walk on. -A world where you can actually hear The Sound of Light.

Prose: 9 out of 10
Character/Execution: 9 out of 10
Overall: 9.25 out of 10

Plot/Idea: Billed as a sci-fi word symphony in three movements, The Sound of Light is the endlessly inventive first movement of Miltenberg's proposed trilogy. A fresh, dynamic, and personal ode to music and the natural world, The Sound of Light is an unforgettable and uplifting spiritual adventure.

Prose: Miltenberg's text is passionate, involving and delicately told with a clear aesthetic in mind. His endlessly creative and imaginative psychedelic journey stays true to its vision throughout, resulting in a colorful and enlightening read.

Originality: The Sound of Light is vibrant and full of verve with several cute, if rather obvious, nods to pop music culture. The imaginative worldbuilding and consistent "hippy rocker" vibe combine effectively to sustain the reader's interest throughout.

Character/Execution: Soniqa StarCloud is a convincing protagonist in a book where music plays a pivotal role in bonding and uniting people. The character names and mannerisms are heavily indebted to rock music lore, lending the book a powerful nostalgic feel and an overwhelmingly positive energy.

Blurb: A mind-bending sonic trip.

The Sound Of Light - Book One: The Age Of The Sonic Soldier is a triumph of the imagination. Miltenberg initiates a monumental Science Fiction Trilogy in the making! I've never read, let alone heard of anything like it. His inventive creation of a "Word-Symphony Composed For String Theory Orchestra" richly desreves the word Epic. As this genre is generally known to be political allegory, the issues Miltenberg cleverly alludes to are as timely as it gets. I avidly look forward to Book Two: The Shadow Of Light. I recommend The Sound Of Light as a new classic to every Science Fiction aficionado out there in this world - as well as any others out there in the Universe.
