The Suicide Queen’s Daughter opens with 6-year-old Keiran and her disastrous birthday party. The second chapter begins her story, now in seventh grade. While trying to keep her addicted, mentally ill mother alive, and raising her younger sister, Keiran struggles to find a life of her own, in a new school. Anger consumes her when her little sister is taken away and she finds solace with alcohol and drugs. After getting kicked off the tennis team and almost dying in a stolen car, Keiran is shipped off to live with her sisters and governess in Colorado. She meets 13-year-old Colt, and forges a friendship, which begins to heal her, but she has secrets to keep. The question is, will she get a new start in this unforgiving small town, or will her past come back to haunt her?
