A Hickey family crime novel: San Diego, Tijuana, Lake Tahoe, 1985: Archie Akin, a dear friend of journalist Clifford Hickey's cousin Bo, crosses the border on the run from a charge of molesting children in a mega-church nursery. In Tijuana, he is accused of murder and imprisoned.
