The Water Cycle with Olly and Carl
Olly the owl tries to sleep, but Carl, a young cricket who is afraid of the rain, is crying. Olly explains the water cycle to Carl and, when he’s assured that Carl is no longer afraid of the rain, flies up to his tree to sleep. But now something else that is keeping Olly awake. A glossary at the end of the book defines terms associated with the water cycle, including evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation, water vapor, hydrologic cycle, runoff, infiltration, and storage.

"The Water Cycle with Olly and Carl," by author and illustrator Sonja McGiboney, is a cute book young readers will learn from.
Not only will they enjoy Olly and Carl's story, the glossary in the back of the book will bring further learning at home and in classroom lessons.
The water cycle is explained in terms children will understand. Evaporation, transpiration, precipitation and many more words they can add to their vocabulary.

I highly recommend this book along with many other of Sonja McGiboney's stories. They are always fun!
