Synopsis – Transcendence
A pharmacist is murdered and instantly transcends through a quantum field into a simultaneous parallel universe here on earth where she meets the old woman she instantly realizes is the reason for her mission. Juxtaposed to the pharmacist, the old woman’s life and demeanor is a subtle, yet profoundly impactful one, where an innate understanding of life’s hidden meanings reside. The pharmacist initiates her mission, that of uniting her newly orphaned pets under the auspices of this magnetic old woman, by conjuring up old and comfortable memories of family and pets. In the meantime, the daily lives of shelter employees and the animals they care for is detailed as they desperately work toward saving these orphaned pets. Fighting against all the odds, even those of otherworldly sources, brings them together and forges lifelong bonds. Those involved with the pharmacist, after her murder, see the path ahead revealed to them in brutal, blood-soaked clarity and are given a choice. Will they choose the correct one?
If the old woman adopts the orphaned pets, the next stage is initiated. What develops next is the correction of a childhood wrong, the proverbial second chance, a renewal of a life destined for utter ruin. Two of the shelter employees most involved with the orphaned pets find that an opportunity has revealed itself. The opportunity to reveal secret longings and desires suppressed for too long; the chance to share two lives as one.
But what of the pharmacist? Years later, when the old woman dies suddenly, the pharmacist is reincarnated in the old woman’s body. She now inhabits yet another form and must adapt to a familiar yet completely different life, one clumsy misplaced step at a time. Now the weight of all she has experienced can be evaluated, and each step analyzed, with one major caveat: She can’t share it with anyone. She has been given access to the most fundamental yet indescribable & overwhelming secrets of the universe. Information she struggles to contain. Why?
