I really enjoyed this story. This is a YA novel about a girl with unique abilities that doesn't know she has abilities, and the good and evil 
sides that both discover what she can do. It also has a sweet romance between Maddie and MJ. Maddie is drawn to MJ and at the 
same time is afraid of him too. She doesn't know what he is and why he can do the things he does. Maddie feels broken and feels that 
she is unlovable. Through MJ's eyes and touch she sees that she is capable of loving and of being loved. Has she found this out to 
late? Justin seems obsessed by her and seems to be controlling those around her. How can she protect those she loves? 
How can she get rid of Justin?

This is the first book in the Unclaimed Series and I can't wait to see what is in Maddie and MJ's future. Maddie is still keeping secrets
 from MJ and it could prevent him from being able to protect her from the evil that is after her. 

This was one of those books that you don't want to put down once you start it. I highly recommend this book.

This Paranormal YA book is told in the 3 main characters POV and the Central character is Maddy who has found out she was Abandoned by her birth parents and has shut her heart away, she has distanced herself from her adoptive family and her friends, Maddy thinks that she is unlovable. She feels that there is something wrong with her, she think something is missing deep inside herself.

Maddy is having boy troubles, not only has she got an ex - Ben, who won't accept that their relationship is over, his best friend Justin tried it on with her and Ben brushes it off as a drunken mistake that any boy could make. Maddy feels there is something dark and 'evil' about Justin, who won't stop harassing Maddy and she can't understand why no one else can see it, in fact everyone else seems to love Justin, the whole school doe's everything he asks them to do, which is another odd thing that Maddy has noticed.

This weekend Maddy is home alone, her parents are away and her sister is staying at a friends.

With everything thats been happening lately she's been finding it hard to sleep, and the only highlight to her day's are when she has these very vivid dream's of a Girl and her Prince. These dreams have been a constant source of comfort for her for years, but the only person she has told about them is her friend Kelli as these dreams feel very real and are always the same... Until now, the last one changed slightly, Maddy is starting to wonder if there is more to these dreams, To get herself ready for the day she heads out for a run.

But today isn't going to be plain sailing, Maddy runs smack into a boy...MJ, Maddy can feel something different about this handsome, kind boy, and Maddy finds herself lowering her defenses. Maddy soon finds herself confiding in MJ like she has with no one else, revealing secrets even her closest friends don't know. He makes her feel safe--a feeling she's never experienced except in her dreams.

But then something odd happens, Maddy can't quite believe what happens when MJ disappear and reappear in thin air, determined to uncover the truth of MJ, Maddy ignores her instinct to run. 

Maddy's life is about to get complicated, the 3 boys and the dreams are going to take up most of her thoughts and time - it could cost Maddy her soul.

I read this book in a day, I was fascinated by the storyline, trying to work out what exactly makes Maddy different to everyone else, what happened to her when she was born? Why is she 'Unclaimed'? 

The first part of the book concentrates on giving us the foundations of what will be the fight for Maddy's soul. By the end of the book Maddy has found out that there's more to Justin and MJ, and that she's loved by her family very much. In fact shes been watched over and protected for most of her life.

This story is a non stop ride, and by the end of book 1 Maddy has been through hell and survived, but its not over, and now we have to wait for book 2 to find out what Maddy is and whether her soul will be safe.

If you like books like Becca Fitzpatrick's or Lauren Kate, then you will enjoy this fascinating tale by Laurie Wetzel. 

I didn't want the book to end, and now I will have to wait until Book 2 is out in 2015 for more.

For a Debut novel this is a very well put together story that will keep you entertained until the last page. I look forward to reading more of Ms Wetzels books.

This book was good. It is a good twist of a paranormal that will have you scratching your head wondering what is going on. The way it was written was phenomenal. There were places that I thought one thing was going to happen then the total opposite happens. That is a plus when I read a book. The ending sets you up for another book but not sure if the author is going to be writing the next one.

So in this book we meet Maddy, she is a high school student that has weird dreams that have been going on for a majority of her life. She thinks her life is strange and that no one loves her but she is sadly mistaken. Her life is different from everyone around her and she doesn’t know why. There is no one that can answer that question either. Then her life goes from strange to stranger within a week period. The way the book is written it seems that months have lapsed but it’s only a few days. Another great plus to me.

We meet MJ and can tell from the beginning that this guy is not the normal person that you see walking around each and every day. He is a supernatural being that is here for one reason and one reason only. But what happens when he runs into Maddy? That is where the story gets really interesting and we find out that this little world that they are in can be strange and mysterious. Will MJ be able to resist the urge to break the rules that are set for him or will he fall into the temptation of Maddy?

Get this book it is a good page turner and you will be happy that you decided to read a book that is a good change in your normal reading genre.

This book gets a 4 ½ stars.

Unclaimed is a book that has brought me back to reading. I was not able to put it down until i finished it. So many questions on what happens next cant wait. 

The author contacted me to do an ARC for her debut album and I am so glad I did. YA Paranormal is one of my favorite genres because it is an escape from not only the real world but also to use your imagination.

"I'm unlovable. Even my birth parents didn't want me."

This is in dual POV of Maddy and MJ. Maddy has had dreams all her life and always felt different from her family till one day a few years ago, the truth came out. That day changed not only her life but the way she looked at the world itself. Maddy Page only dreams of love since in real life she believes she is unlovable.

Maddy then runs into some trouble and meets MJ, the mysterious person who has supernatural abilities she cannot explain. The day she runs into MJ is also when her dreams change, more secrets are revealed but she is tries to uncover the truth, danger comes her way.

"A kiss is much more complicated than dancing. Kisses are the basis for every tragic love story. If I kiss him...I'll be hooked. I can't allow myself to fall for him, to fall for a nameless mystery."

The author will pull you into each page with Maddy as she goes through every emotional feeling. I felt the true heart break on each page and I also felt my heart skip a beat Maddys and MJs love for one another. This does end in cliffhanger and will get the next book in 2015. I recommend you watch and listen to Laurie Wetzel's video on her page as well. I truly commend this author on her debut album. I will create teasers for the blog tour later.

Uclaimed is like nothng i have read before. The story line and characters are very unique and it was a pleasant suprise and quite an enjoyable read.
Maddie doesn't feel like she belongs to anyone due to the fact that she was given up by her birth parents and left on the doorstep of her now adoptive family whom love her very much.
Mj A protector from the heavens who on his last assignment was meat to be there for Amber but mistakes Maddie for her and he feels such a connection to her that he torn what to do.
Maddie is not your typical teenage girl with the normal drama either.
Take the journey with Maddie while she learns most things in her life are not what they seem.
Wonderful story and looking forward to reading the next installment in this series.
