I downloaded this book ... at the recommendation of a friend... I am really glad that I did, as I would typically stay far away from anything that remotely sounds like "romance." The author manages to tackle a difficult and painful topic with grace. She manages the two different perspectives of husband and wife very well- there is never a question who is speaking, and their different thoughts and viewpoints are well articulated. I appreciated that while her topic matter could have easily degenerated into a typical romance or become too erotic reading for a middle aged momma like me, she managed to portray the emotions of the characters without too many details.
This is a very different sort of story- and it does not fit typical classifications. It is not a romance, not a typical feel-good Christian lit, not a drama. Just a story of a damaged marriage, and the family trying to work through it. Well done!

Best book on marriage that I've read in a long time! Well-written fiction with excellent advice for real-world relationships that you want to last! Highly recommended! - Amazon Reader
"The author doesn't hesitate to write about real people - Christians who are going through struggles and have failed their spouses and families over and over again. The characters are not stereotypes of Christians, they are real, flawed, people. Their journey is more common than most Christians might admit, and that is refreshing. I really loved the book and couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read more by this author." Laryssa Z
""In a story that can only be called raw and amazing, 'Waters Fall' is certainly a book that will make you flinch. It has infidelity, pain, bitterness, and is so well told that Becky Doughty now has fans under her hooks.... Doughty's writing is truly what is missing from fiction these days." - The Examiner
