We Never Do Wednesday's is a seniors' love story, a story of the onset of mutual loss. Retired and living comfortably, the Southern California couple are enjoying each other and their activities much as they always have. Their individual pasts were somewhat complicated but their shared world never was. Then a looming threat, one that only he had reason to fear, engulfs them in a manner that neither had reason to expect but both must manage. Once perceived, however, the eventual ending they must endure is unavoidable. Their battle, soon realized by both to be futile, is brief. Finally, "She is at peace, he realizes.
