The book opens with Dana Donato, the protagonist, kidnapped in a parking garage. Throughout the book, this international artist is stalked by the kidnapper, but Dana keeps this part of her life secret from her fiance. When those close to her begin to die at the hands of her stalker, to save her seventeen-year-old son she finally tells all. But, do the detectives have the right man in custody?
