How can you reach your goals, overcome obstacles, and make a difference in the world? What qualities does it take to become a successful diva and turn your passion to help others into a reality? Discover how a group of young women used pivotal moments in their lives to empower and bring joy to those less fortunate. They share their uphill struggles, how they coped with negative feelings and situations to inspire and transform themselves, and those in need. The young women discuss the negative impact terminal illness, bullying, cruelty, childhood trauma, and the debilitating, long-term effects in Young Divas That Care by Candace Gish. They offer advice on how to separate yourself from situations that you have no control over and to focus on what you do have the power to change. Using their guidance and techniques, you too can celebrate your unique gifts and turn negativity into positivity.
Young Divas That Care by Candace Gish is such an inspirational read and would help transform any young person's negative view of themselves. I loved how the young women were completely open and honest about the dreadful situations they faced; some were quite heartbreaking to read. They used their experiences in such a positive way, and where many people would have crumbled, they saw the event as a chance to help others. The book is laid out really well, with a little background on each young lady and why they decided to change the direction of their lives. I found their mindset completely uplifting; they chose to see the positive in every hardship and they share with the reader how they remained focussed on their objective. In a world of social media where the judgment of others and criticism is so abundant, it was refreshing to read about a group of young ladies whose sole aim is to uplift and encourage. Reading about their amazing achievements makes it very difficult to make excuses in your own life. I would love to see this book in every school and college library."
