Born into a family of readers, Belangela discovered her passion for literature at a very young age. She could never get enough of the stories from the titan Gabriel García Marquez to all major classics of literature and many genres.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, she is the fourth of five siblings. Belangela became Danish citizen many years ago and now she resides in Denmark with her husband, embarked on the quest of raising their child with autism. She finds her creative juices by running and enjoying nature.
Of particular interest to Belangela are stories that explore the struggles of minorities, such as: refugees, immigrants, homosexuals, the bullied, and the disabled.
Belangela was awarded a grant from Rieck-Andersens Familiefond to translate The Child of Dawn into Danish. She is also the multigenre author of The Child of Dawn and Noah Goes To School (nonfiction), Truths of Illusion, A Better World and Hiatus (fiction).
She is member of the Alliance of Independent Authors and affiliate of the Association of Independent Authors.
