Christopher Brookhouse is the author of numerous works of poetry and fiction, among them Running Out, which earned the Rosenthal Award from
the American Academy of Arts & Letters; A Selfish Woman, nominated for the National Book Award; and Fog, the Jeffrey stories, winner of the biennial New Hampshire fiction prize.
His most recent works include a 4-book series about aspiring writer-turned-sheriff Gus Salt, set in post WWII North Carolina: A Pinch of Salt, Percy's Field, Nolan's Cross, and A Mind of Winter—and Messing with Men, a story of old murder and the colliding lives of three retirees on an island in Florida.
His newest novel, How It Was, is slated for publication in November 2023.
