My name is Diana Shafran, I am a fantasy, young adult author. I live in Ukraine. I spent one week in Kyiv, but the explosions didn't stop. That is why I went to my relatives in the village. I have been writing books for more than ten years. My professional background is that of an economist, but my real mission is to open her reader’s minds to the world of magic. My books are a ticket to the fantasy world, where there are complex puzzles, dangerous games, complicated relationships, and friendships that can overcome anything. In Kyiv I liked to walk in the park listening to music, and at night I sent my heroes on dangerous adventures. Now I live in village. I'm experiencing a lot of different emotions now. It's fear, it's confusion, it's hope, it's pride. I realized that in every situation you need to be yourself. All I know is that Ukraine is my home, writing is my vocation. I want to write books that'll make readers feel warm inside. I want to share my books with people all over the world. And, of course, I want peace.
