Biography
I was born, raised and educated in Bombay (Mumbai) India. I obtained a BS in "Chemistry and Physics" in 1969. I worked for a while as a computer programmer in Bombay, before emigrating for the USA in 1976.
In the USA, I worked extensively in the field of computer programming for several corporations including Xerox Corporation, I was an instructor in computer science for Xerox Corporation, and I subsequently had my own software training and development business for many years. Along the way, I authored a couple of books on the software packages "dBASE" and "FoxPro", which were very popular "computerized database-management" systems.
In 1999 I went back to college to obtain a 4-year BS degree in "Physician Assistant" studies from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY.
In general, over the years I have taught math and science to many students, both children and adults. From 2003 onwards for the next 10+ years, I was most involved in the early childhood education of my grandson. The 10+ years of experience teaching my grandson have culminated in my authorship of the books "Gifting Your Child: Math and Literacy from Infancy", and "Gifting Your Child: a Foundation in Math".
