kl kiefer's formal training was in the theatre and visual art.  She worked as a stage actor for many years in her earlier life and would later carry those storytelling skills into the visual art world as a critically acclaimed painter.  But beneath the demonstrative arts ran a passion for writing short-form fiction—the third iron in the same blazing fire.  The pandemic of 2020, a handy excuse for seclusion, enabled kiefer to, for once, turn her focus solely to long-form writing.  She has since written and published four novels.
