In 2041, the lucrative and wildly popular Earth Pop Atmospheric Fun Ride, a corporate knockoff of the Blue Origin project of the early '20s, suddenly becomes front-page news in this story of intrigue and deception. Tim Abati, an affable, young, sixth generation Egyptian-American and flight attendant for one of the twenty-four rockets, unexpectedly finds himself in charge of his errant capsule as it careens into the depths of space due to an accidental flip of a switch in the Ground Control division during a retirement party. While Tim feverishly attempts to bring the craft back to Earth safely, company executives scheme to discredit him in a desperate effort to avoid bad press.
