Larry Landgraf was born and raised in the swamp country of the Guadalupe River delta just outside of the community of Tivoli, Texas. After four years of college he decided that he did not want to be cooped up in a classroom or office the rest of is life so he became a commercial fisherman, the family profession. After 20+ years, over-regulation and depleted resources forced him to leave the profession to become a commercial contractor. Larry did this for another 20+ years.
An accident which nearly resulted in his death, and age forced Larry to leave this profession for something a little less strenuous. Larry wrote and published How to be a Smart SOB Like Me in 2012. His girlfriend calls the book a rant, but it is also a self-help guide to a happier life and is autobiographical in nature. If you really want to get to know Larry, this book will tell you much about his life. The book tells it like it is from Larry's perspective.
In 2015, Larry wrote his debut novel Into Autumn. This book is the story of how Lars Lindgren and Eileen Branson must learn to change when all of humanity is forced into desperate survival mode when the grid shuts down and government and the economy crumble. This book is rated R for sex and violence. Larry has been a survivor by necessity most of his life. His background gave him a wealth of information to draw upon in writing this book.
Larry has hopes that this book will make it to the New York Times bestsellers list. His girlfriend thinks Into Autumn is his best work to date. Larry also writes short stories on his website under Tales from the Riverside about his life in the swamp.
Larry doesn't consider himself an author yet, but he is trying. He continues to write and is currently working on a sequel to Into Autumn.
