I'm a retired teacher who is now writing and illustrating children's books. I live in the mountains of North Carolina with my husband and french bulldog. I love books with humor and heart and I hope that's what readers will find in Acorn and Button.

I recently signed a contract with Monarch Press for my picture book, Get Real, Lucille. Lucille is a rubber chicken who tires of her role as a prop for a circus act. She wants to be a real chicken and runs away to a farm, but things don't exactly turn out as she had hoped. Get real, Lucille will be out July 1, 2025.
