Lori Nelson Lee is a self-published author of four children’s books; A Hip Hop Christmas (October 2023), Hip Hop Don't Stop (November 2021), Danica Dramatica: Queen Me (August 2015), The Adventures of Hillary: Hillary's Big Business Adventure (January 2008). Collectively, her books have appeared on several major network affiliates, been invited into elementary schools all over the United States, been sponsored by the Newark, NJ mayor's office and the Children's Aid NYC, and has had international sales in five different countries.

Two of her earlier books were illustrated by award-winning and NY Times best-selling children's book illustrator Jerry Craft. Her gift for storytelling led her to win a spot in a Nickelodeon writing competition which eventually inspired her to create an animated series that she was able to pitch to PBS Kids.

Lori is originally from Baltimore, MD, received her B.B.A. from Howard University and her M.S. from University of Maryland.
