My first book, A Forsaken Soul, was written while incarcerated at a Louisiana State Penitentiary. After my release the manuscript sat in a closet for 10 years until an old college friend, who is now an editor, read it. She urged me to publish it because, "This is a very powerful story" as she put it. Because of the enjoyment I received during the publishing phase and being quite surprised that people genuinely enjoyed reading my story, I decided to write another.
I grew up with Tom Sawyer and The Hardy Boys, so, quite naturally, The Adventures of Nick and Billy were born. Recently, the first of the series, The Mystery of the Rougarou, was nominated for 'The Summer Indie Book Awards'.
I attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana (Now The University of Louisiana at Lafayette) for 2 years as an art major. I have worked in the oil and gas industry for most of my adult life and was recently laid off due to the low oil prices. I decided to make a career change that allowed me to spend more time at home with my family and now am a machine operator manufacturing jet engine components used in military and commercial jet engines.
I have 2 daughters, 2 grand daughters, and Kathy, my wife, to whom I have been happily married to for 9 years. When I'm not working I can be found on any of the numerous lakes or reservoirs within the Hudson Valley, searching for that one bass or walleye that will be my lifetime trophy.
