Nancy Hungerford grew up in a small town on Candlewood Lake, Connecticut. After Austria’s independence in 1955, she spent many summers there with her Austrian family.
She settled in the “Big Apple” and became President of Creative Color, The Print Lab, and Republic Color, Inc. She also served as script reader for a small motion picture company.
Nancy, and her husband Bob, moved to Orient, NY and began Hungerford & Associates, a small direct response/advertising agency. Their love of writing, painting and photography inspired them to begin a lifestyle monthly publication, NORTH FORK COUNTRY along with the award-winning newsletter, JUST CATS!
Nancy has written columns — ghostwritten 2 books. Currently she writes a bimonthly column As The Crow Flies – covering her garden, birds, honeybees, and life seen a little side-ways, plus a bi-monthly New Fairfield Veterans Association column, for the New Fairfield, CT, Town Tribune.
She is an associate member of the Cat Writers Association.
Much of WELL DONE was taken from her husband’s WWII logs and the journals and notes of both he and his squadron pals. She was determined to complete this book as a loving tribute to her late husband Bob and to the many other unsung heroes.
She resides in Orient, NY — last land stop before heading to Europe, with her Persian cat Jazz.
