I first developed a passion for writing in junior high school when my stories were published in the school "literary" magazine.
In my 20s, I became obsessed with spiritual questions and wrote endless speculative essays about life, love and enlightenment. In the spirit of the times, I took refuge as a Buddhist and traveled cross country in a VW bus. In my 30s, I played the drums in original rock'n'roll bands and my writing consisted mostly song lyrics. Two of the bands I was in recorded some of my tunes and I hope to make them available online.
As my spiritual and musical pursuits receded, I started again writing fiction. I turned out a few short stories, but didn't really think of myself as a "writer." Then, in 2012, I met the amazing members of the Rising Tide Writers of Harwich, MA and, encouraged by their many examples, began writing fiction at a furious pace and started to dream of publication.
In April 2017, I published my first novel, "Nature's Kiss," which is Book One of the Nature Series series. Book Two, "Nature's Love," was published in November 2018. The two books are really one book, as "Nature's Love" starts immediately after "Nature's Kiss" ends
I have dozens of other ideas for novels and stories and may self-publish a collection of my short stories. One completed short story is "Wooing Wooo." You can read it as a downloadable pdf on my page at https://risingtidewriters.jimdo.com/rachel-crosby/
I also have an author page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RachelCrosbyAuthor/
Please email me at bemindful22(at)comcast.net and I'll let you know whenever I have news (probably very infrequently).
If you do obtain a copy of "Nature's Kiss" or "Nature's Love' in whatever format, please leave a review, however short.
