State of Redemption, published in 2021 is a crime & suspense novel centering on a thirty-year-old cold case murder in the fictional town of Milford, Vermont.
Leave the Last Cookie for Someone Else, published in 2020 is a collection of personal insights and observations of the author collected over 25 years dedicated to and published for his six grandchildren.
McKeown spent his early childhood in northwest Vermont before moving to Rogers, Arkansas as a youth. He graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Journalism and was named Outstanding Journalism Graduate. He spent several years as a newspaper reporter focusing on politics and crime reporting. For more than twenty years McKeown has owned and operated his own communications consulting firm specializing in executive communications coaching, media training and crisis communications counsel. His clients are located throughout the United States, Canada and on four continents.
McKeown is currently at work on his second novel, Murder by the Book, projected for release in 2022. He and his wife Tracye live in Bryant, Arkansas and are the parents of four adult children and six grandchildren.
