Born West London 1952. Educated Hampton Grammar School, Technical College. Self Employed for Life. Bob started life as an Engineering Apprentice and ended up as a partner until he took over the partnership and converted the business to a Company as Managing Director.
Bob built up the business to be at the leading edge of high precision CNC manufacturing in the Aerospace & Defence industry as a subcontractor making parts and sub assemblies for Tier 1 companies involved with Guided Weapons, Aircrew Safety Systems, Medical Body Scanners, Electronic Components and Surface Mounted Electronic Component Assembly Machines, amongst other things.
Bob married a Canadian citizen; Marilyn, in 1976.
Bob moved to Canada in 1989 to design Renewable Energy Systems and act as a Management Consultant with the Federal Business Development Bank. This sudden life change came when Margaret Thatcher arbitrarily decided 'manufacturing was not in the UK's future'. Bob moved Marilyn to British Columbia; her home province, and then returned to the UK to collect their yacht which he then sailed to Vancouver from Southampton taking advantage of the Atlantic Rally Cruise 1989 to cross the Atlantic.
Upon retiring Bob moved from West Vancouver to Chilliwack in the picturesque Fraser Valley East of Vancouver.
Bob has always been interested in Sailing, shooting, swimming and trekking.
Bob has always been a lifelong conservative with a small ‘c’ and involves himself politically with comments in suitable media outlets. It is through these activities that Bob decided to share his lifelong beliefs in certain fundamental truths. There MUST BE life after death, learning about the mind is much more important than creating Artificial Intelligences. Most modern scientific endeavours are a waste of public money when simpler, proven technology would be cheaper and less risky.
Bob spends his life thinking and has or had friends in major research establishments throughout the Western World.
He proposed while at primary school that God must be married or extremely lonely. He theorised while at Grammar School that the ability to scale everything (All matter and living entities) would solve Einstein’s speed of light conundrum. Today he firmly believes that Fusion is quite possible but will never produce cheap, let alone free, energy. “You cannot take out more energy than you put in!”
