My name is Ryu, and I've been writing seriously for the last 7 years. I work at Mastercard and have a wife, a daughter and a dog, and next to my family, writing is my big passion. My other big passion is kenjutsu, traditional Japanese martial arts with Japanese swords. Shadow Shinjuku is my second novel, but the first I'm publishing in English language. It is set in Japan, as is all my work of fiction, as this way I can go back to Japan and spend time in that environment even though I'm not physically there. I began writing when I lived in Japan and the inspiration I got there is still very much alive. I really enjoy going back to that country, that culture, those people when I'm writing.
