Slim Smith worked at Better Badges in the late 1970s, helping with the artwork for music related badges and fanzines. Slim Smith worked at Better Badges in the late 1970s, helping with the artwork for music related badges and fanzines. He produced his own collage-zine Dance Crazy in 1979 and, with Chris Furby, produced God Crazy the following year. Smith and Furby also created 7000 Mysteries Detective Magazine. Smith has drawn comic strips such as Bugboy, Doc Soap and Ernie’s Born-Again Snack Bar, published by the likes of Knockabout Comics and Inkling magazine.
Smith has worked as a graphic designer on record covers (Nick Cave, Moby, Morrissey), books (Iain Sinclair, Alan Vega) and events (Disobey Club, Subversion in the Street of Shame).
