Life is so interesting, you know? I have never suffered writer's block because I'll never write all the books in my head. If I get stuck on one I'll move to another until I get unstuck.

I'm the guy who prefers the Uffizi Gallery to the gold merchants on the Ponte Vecchio, and the library at Melk to a Sound of Music tour in Salzburg. Take me to London and I'll make a beeline for the Imperial War Museum, or the British Museum, instead of Harrod's.

But put me on a Jamaican beach with a frosty drink and a stack of books, and I would happily never leave. Because as many books as I want to write, there's eve more I want to read.
