Loved the book! I love mysteries and this mystery was well woven and timed perfectly. Being a frequent visitor of Williamsburg, the descriptions of the city were spot on and took me back through those wondrous streets.

This is a delightful story for a young girl. Just the right amount of intrigue and history and nothing too scary. The reading level seems about right for 10-12. The characters of of white indentured servants may raise some questions in young minds that could provoke thoughtful discussions. And it would be a good book for adoptees.
