Driving Me Wild
Maria Benson, author
Aimee Chase, a young Chicago sports marketing executive, can’t believe a pleasant night out with Michael Blake, a handsome but bland former high school classmate, ended so badly. Dissatisfied with her attempt to let him down easy, Michael accused Aimee of being too damaged to appreciate a good man. That hurt: Aimee’s romantic history is littered with cheaters and bad boys, and she fears she may have sabotaged her chances of ever finding the right guy. Months later, when she and Michael cross paths again, she’s almost relieved to find herself suddenly captivated by a “safe” guy who now makes her weak in the knees. Is it Happy Ever After? Maybe, if Aimee can deal with the fallout of life with the “new” Michael, whom she learns has transformed into a promiscuous, cold-hearted pick-up artist he thinks women like Aimee want. When he declares his fidelity despite multiplying baggage in his life, should Aimee walk away or accept that “it’s complicated?”

Aimee Chase has never liked the nice guys, which is proven by her secret on-again, off-again relationship with a high-profile married man. So when the ultimate nice guy, Michael, declares his feelings for her, Aimee wants to let him down gently. But when Michael throws some home truths in her direction, Aimee refuses to listen and throws back some barbs of her own. But life is never simple. And when Aimee's high profile career is threatened by a public scandal, and she finds herself in the limelight, Aimee is forced to look at all of the relationships in her life, and re-evaluate what she wants from her future. Michael's character is very entertaining as he decides to embrace his inner bad boy in order to get the girl. With plenty of twists and turns, DRIVING ME WILD by Maria Benson & A.L. Ford is an entertaining love story that reflects the pitfalls and complications of modern dating. All in all DRIVING ME WILD is well worth a read.
