Amos, a shepherd/farmer leaves his homestead to confront the religious, political and social injustice that poisons God's chosen people in the split kingdoms of Judah and Israel. His God ordained "in your face" rhetoric frightens both king and clergy. Amos tells both Israel and Judah to reverse their corruption and injustice of face divine judgement.
