Born and raised in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Sheala Dawn Henke wears the many sorting hats of a crazed but fulfilling life. When she’s not spatting words down on the page, or ‘river-ratting’ on the local waterways, she’s busy shaping young minds. A veteran teacher with nearly twenty years in the trenches, Longtime member associate with the Northern Colorado Writers Association and Lighthouse Writers and honored 20 winner recipient of the Jerry Eckert Scholarship for philanthropic writers, she also hosted a successful crowdfunding campaign to independently publish her debut YA Climate Fiction series IDEA33.
Sheala Dawn and her husband and two children live where the outdoors meets her doorstep in Fort Collins, Colorado.
