Valerie Nifora was born and raised in New York to Greek immigrant parents. For over twenty years, she has been a Marketing Communications Leader for a Fortune 50. She has served as a ghost writer for several executives and has executed award-winning campaigns using her special gift as a storyteller to inspire.

Her debut romance novel, The Fairmounts follows the story of Harry LaCroix who returning from the horrors of war, hopes to settle into a quiet life with his last living relative. But his plans take an unexpected detour when he falls for a beautiful heiress with a missing fortune. Harry soon finds himself embroiled in wealthy politics, a vicious rivalry threatens to turn him into a pawn in a jealous game of love.

I Asked the Wind is s a collection of romantic poetry that explores innocence, sensuality, passion, desire, heartbreak and loss through the lens of her personal experience spanning 15 years. I Asked the Wind won three awards since publication in 2019 including a Gold Award from the Nonfiction Authors Association.

Valerie holds a B.A. in Communications from Emerson College and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. She is married and a mother of two amazing sons.
